Romeo Juliet Meryl Streep Kevin Kline
While Donna Murphy and Amy Adams are getting Into The Woods at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, looks like two other big name actors will soon be heading to the park as well!
For the 50th Anniversary of Shakespeare in the Park, the legendary Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline will be reuniting in Romeo And Juliet!!
The former Sophie’s Choice costars will play Romeo and Juliet in the park for one night only on June 18!
SO exciting!!!
Artistic Director Oskar Eustis said:

“For 50 years the Delacorte Theater has been home to the greatest American actors, who have been able to hone their artistry in the most beautiful, democratic theater in the world. Romeo and Juliet will be a celebration of those actors, a joyous love letter to the Delacorte, to Central Park and to New York City.”

The reading will be directed by Daniel Sullivan and will be part of The Public Theater’s Anniversary Gala! The event will also be honoring longtime theater participant, Tony Award winning actor Al Pacino.
Live in NYC and have some extra cash? Tickets for the gala start at $1,500!
We’d LOVE to see Meryl and Kevin act out the balcony scene!!!
