Long night?? Michael Bolton took to Twitter on Tuesday to clarify a recent TV interview where it super looked like he was caught drifting off to sleep.
The legendary performer appeared on Australia’s The Morning Show via satellite from Florida on Monday to promote his new album, A Symphony of Hits, but the interview got off to a slow start.
Hosts Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur did their best to get the attention of the 65-year-old singer, whose eyes appeared to be closed as they repeatedly called his name.

While Bolton later explained on Twitter that they were experiencing technical difficulties and he was caught tweeting, it totally looked like he was catching a symphony of zzzs — and The Morning Show was quick to make fun of him for it!

Ha!
While setting the record straight, Bolton confirmed that he has not gotten a single night of sleep in 50 years, tweeting:
I got my first record deal when I was 15 and I haven’t slept since!! In all seriousness there were technical issues with the live feed and they caught me tweeting! We had a great interview once they fixed the glitch. #FakeNews #50thAnniversary #SymphonyOfHits pic.twitter.com/xE3aV7GelL

The apparent technical difficulties were eventually fixed, and Bolton was bright-ish eyed and bushy-ish tailed throughout the entire interview:
