Shocking new details are coming out about Michelle Trachtenberg‘s final known public outing that occurred less than a week before her tragic and untimely death.
According to a report published on Wednesday night by DailyMail.com, the Gossip Girl alum was seen at Sartiano’s restaurant in the SoHo neighborhood of New York last Thursday night. That was just six days before the 39-year-old was found dead by her very own mother in her Manhattan home.

The DM quotes an anonymous staffer at Sartiano’s who conveyed how shocked they and fellow restaurant employees were to witness Trachtenberg’s purported condition during that dinner outing last Thursday night. Per that employee, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum was supposedly NOT in good shape during the dinner:
“She looked really unwell, just like very sickly.”
The employee went on to claim that Michelle was so frail that she struggled to walk down a flight of stairs at Sartiano’s. And not only that, but the entire situation was apparently putting the actress in a bad mood, to boot:
“She was thin, like tiny, she couldn’t walk down the stairs. She was not in a great mood, it wasn’t the best impression.”
Ugh.
Now, that unnamed employee claims the atmosphere at Sartiano’s has been terribly dampened after staffers learned that the famous film star who had been a regular there for such a long time had suddenly died:
“It’s spooky because she was in here just last week on Thursday night. We only just found out about [Michelle’s death] a few hours ago, and it’s really sad. She was just with one other person, a woman who was really nice.”
Just awful.
The owner of the eponymous SoHo restaurant, Scott Sartiano, also released a touching tribute of his own for Trachtenberg on Wednesday night, as well.

Along with a photo of he and Michelle together in a booth in the Manhattan hotspot, Sartiano posted a broken heart emoji and a simple but touching caption:
“Many years of happy memories. Rest in Peace Michelle.”
We continue to send our condolences to Michelle’s family members, friends, loved ones, former costars, and legions of fans following her shocking death. Judging by the waves of memorials that have already come in from those who knew her best, it’s clear that Michelle was very much loved and appreciated during her life — both on screen and off it.
What a terrible situation.
