Mike Myers is apparently in talks to bring the whole Austin Powers franchise to broadway!
The first movie debuted in 1997 with the two sequels happening in 1999 and 2002, but an almost decade long gap since the last one isn’t stopping Mike’s musical dreams.
Myers is currently hard at work on the 4th Austin Powers movie but he’s reported to be considering creating the stage adaption.
A source said:
“Mike is in talks to turn Austin Powers into a musical stage show. Mike would be heavily involved in writing the show, but he will not star in it, even though he has quite a good singing voice.”
What a groovy idea for a musical!
