It’s big business season for the sales departments at television networks. This is generally the time when advertisers take a close look at what’s on tap at the nets and decide where to spend their advertising money…and how much of it!
Well, Bravo had their ‘Upfront’ event on Tuesday and according to TV Week, they’re gonna squeeze every last penny they can out of Project Runway.
Runway is ‘supposed’ to sashay on Bravo one last time with 12 original episodes this summer, and advertisers were being encouraged to buy, buy, buy commercials! Bravo also mentioned that the show’s last season would receive strong promotional support from the network.
Good for them! Bitterness shouldn’t stand in the way of making money!
Runway’s move to Lifetime is supposed to happen in the Fall.
Bravo Media President Lauren Zalaznick declined to comment on the move of the show because it was in litigation.
On Monday, one of Runway’s owners, Harvey Weinstein and Heidi Klum’s popular co-host, Tim Gunn, were at Lifetime’s Upfront event.
