Here’s a pleasant change.
Naomi Campbell is all over the media today, but not for anything crazy or violent she’s done.
Instead, the supermodel is using her name and her connections for good.
Campbell has decided to hold a special runway show, Fashion for Relief, during New York Fashion Week to help those affected in Haiti.
Says Campbell, “Fashion for Relief only works if everyone comes together and makes it work.”
The show will take place during the time slot originally set for designer Charlotte Ronson‘s show who was nice enough to give up her spot for the event.
And helping Naomi will also be Marc Jacobs, who will feature a specially designed Louis Vuitton handbag, and Christy Turlington.
Items from the fashion show then will be sold online in March with proceeds donated to the CARE organization to help fight global poverty.
Nice job, Naomi. Keep doing good.
