Uh oh! The claws have come out!
Neil Patrick Harris attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party with his beau David Burtka and he was asked his thoughts on how Ellen Degeneres did as a host!
And what did he have to say about it all?!
Well, NPH started off by giving her some high praise for the show, but then he did NOT hold back when it came to throwing in a little bit of shade!
He said:

“I thought Ellen was great. I was watching the show, anticipating some big opening number, and then she just walked out and told some jokes, and brought everyone down in a casual way. It was lovely.”

See, he was totally nice!
BUUUUT unfortunately, he didn’t stop there!
His victim? Ellen’s HIGHlarious pizza party!
NPH continued:

“That [pizza] bit went on for a while didn’t it? I won’t lie to you about that. I was like, where you going with the pizza babe?”

Yikes! Tell us how you really feel!
Well, uh, at least he complimented Ellen before he slammed her?!
That’s gotta count for something!
