Queen Latifah, Naughty by Nature, Redman, Fetty Wap and Wyclef Jean are reppin’ New Jersey PROUD!
Since this year’s MTV VMAs took place at the Prudential Center in Newark — producers knew they had to pay tribute to the Garden State! Thankfully, all the artists who took the stage for this one tonight were uniquely equipped to do it right… with a nice mix of throwback nostalgia, and newer, younger energy in the blood!

It wasn’t The Sopranos, but this WAS a uniquely Jersey night on MTV, all rounded out by the final throwdown here that ended the show on a VERY high night! From a motorcycle entrance to hyped up rappers and the perfect finish to the evening, if you missed any of it live on air to wrap the VMAs, here’s what went down during the performance (below):
Nice!!! Definitely a memorable performance! Medleys are tough to pull off at award shows like this, but they did this one well, and it was a GREAT way to wrap up the full night!
