Oh, shiz!
Nicole Richie appeared on Australia’s Today show to talk about the relaunch of MidCity fashion precinct, but her publicist Nicole Perna had a fit when the segment’s pre-interview promotion was aired!
Apparently the teaser mentioned her life as a party girl with Paris Hilton, her weight issues and DUI arrest so Perna began “a spree of arm-waving and screaming!”
A Today insider reveals:
“We ran the teaser for the interview explaining Nicole Richie’s background and the various ways she came to fame, but her publicist hit the roof and started yelling at the crew that those subjects couldn’t be covered.
She said that Lisa Wilkinson could only ask her about MidCity, so that was her first question – but Nicole simply said why she was here without explaining what MidCity is, and that’s how the interview continued as Lisa did her job. Her publicist continued to carry on off-camera and [co-host] Karl [Stefanovic] witnessed the whole thing. No one on the show had ever seen anything like it.”
Not very professional — especially when those little fun facts are all true!
