Nine-Year-Old Alabama Girl Dead From Suicide After Months Of Bullying At School

Such a horrible tragedy…
McKenzie Adams was a nine-year-old girl with a “bubbly, fun-loving personality” who wanted to grow up to be a scientist in her Alabama hometown of Linden, when her life was cut short from suicide on December 3.

According to Adams’ aunt, Eddwina Harris, prolonged months of bullying at school — U.S. Jones Elementary School in Demopolis, Alabama — led up to the tragic events last week, which took place in the bathroom of McKenzie’s grandmother’s house.
Harris told the media:

“She went to the bathroom and the door was locked. [Her grandmother] said, ‘Unlock the door. What are you doing?’” She ran and got a butter knife and she unlocked the door. She found McKenzie … The first couple of days [after the death], my sister cried herself to sleep. It was really tough for her. I’m using all my strength to fight for McKenzie. My fight is to get her justice.”

So, so sad. You can learn more about McKenzie’s story from the video (above).
R.I.P., McKenzie…
