They must be crazy to want to take this little piece of heaven off the air!

The New Jersey Italian American Legislative Caucus has sent a letter to the president of Viacom, MTV’s parent company, requesting that the network cancel its runaway hit Jersey Shore because it is “wildly offensive.”

LOLs! It’s no more offensive than any of MTV’s other programming! Teen Mom and The Real World, anyone?

The state lawmakers are also asking advertisers to boycott the show because it “promotes derogatory ethnic stereotypes.”

Well, we LOVE this trainwreck!

Stick to your guns, MTV!
