Olivia Munn is offering up some rare comments about her past relationship with Aaron Rodgers.
During her appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast on Monday, the Office Christmas Party star aired out some grievances she has with her ex’s fandom. While speaking on sports fans’ propensity to blame athletes’ girlfriends for their poor performances on the field, the 44-year-old reflected on her experience with dating the star Green Bay Packers QB from 2014 to 2017. She told host Dax Shepard:
“During the time that I was with him, he had three hail marys, I think two NFC championships — not wins — but he made it into the NFC championship, which is very hard. No one would want to talk about that. I didn’t get credit for any of the wins.”
Ha! Ain’t that always the way!
She explained there was a “narrative” going around that SHE was responsible for his failures and likened it to Jessica Simpson’s situation when she was dating Tony Romo from 2007 to 2009. We mean, she’s not wrong! Just take a look at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce now! She took a TON of heat from fans angry at the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s performance last season!

But Olivia had another layer of negativity thrown into the mix: the one having to do with fans blaming her for Aaron’s estrangement from his family. She explained:
“There’s this whole big narrative that stayed with me for so many years, but there was just this dynamic in the family that had nothing to do with me. It became this whole big thing, and people were like, ‘I can’t believe her, she’s keeping this family apart.’ People have speculated for many years what was the rift, and I know, but I’m not saying because it’s not my story to tell.”
Aaron has attempted to set the record straight on multiple occasions assuring fans Olivia had nothing to do with his family feud, but even after being broken up for YEARS she’s still associated with it. Which just proves her point even more!
But on that note, The Newsroom actress noted she’s “really grateful” for Aaron speaking out in her defense. She dished:
“Even if people didn’t want to take hold of that statement, it made me feel good that it was said.”
