One Direction And Ed Sheeran To Play In The Olympics

One Direction has qualified to represent Britain at the Olympics!
The boy band will perform in the games’ synchronized singing competition MASSIVE closing ceremony!
So far, nothing has been officially confirmed. Howevs Ed Sheeran, who is rumored to be joining the band on the international stage, certainly didn’t deny the rumors. Ed told reporters:

“If I was to play the closing ceremony, I might be playing with quite a big rock band and I might be playing one of their most famous hits. Might be. And if I was doing that, it would feel quite fun, I think, and it would be quite a moment for me. But that’s if I was doing it.”

So…. that’s a “YES!”
And it’s absolutely fitting! There is no one (other than Adele) who could better represent British music of the moment.
With The Who, Queen and even the Spice Girls already set to perform — the closing ceremony is shaping up to be BIGGER than the main event!
Hopefully Niall Horan recovers from his illness before Aug 12! We’d hate for him to miss the band’s biggest gig yet!
