Pamela Anderson once had a very scary flight experience!
During an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast with Josh Horowitz on Monday, the 57-year-old actress recalled the time when she “almost got killed” while on a flight! Why? A man mistook her for a member of The Chicks! OMG! She said:
“This one time, I was on a flight and this guy came up to me and said, ‘Do you know what this country’s done for you?’ And I was like, ‘Oh, my God. What have I done?’”

Whenever Pamela turned around to look at him during the flight, she claimed the unidentified guy would snarl at her. However, things went far beyond just some growls and glares! He tried to hurt her, too! Pamela shared:
“This stewardess had to handcuff him to the chair because he was trying to attack [me]. And, ends up, he thought I was a Dixie Chick. Remember that whole Dixie Chick thing? I almost got killed on a plane.”
How frightening! But how does one mix up Pamela Anderson with one of The Chicks? This is Pamela Anderson we’re talking about here! One of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood!
Thankfully, Pamela lived to tell the tale! But she “was scared to fly” following the “minor” incident. Can you blame her? We would be terrified, too! Who knows if something like this would have happened again? Watch the podcast interview (below):
It is unknown when this horrifying incident happened. What we do know is it most likely occurred sometime shortly after Natalie Maines, who is in the country music band along with Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer, said she was “ashamed” that then-President George W. Bush was from Texas after invading Iraq during a concert in London in 2003. Their careers came to a screeching halt afterward as they faced intense backlash from the public. At the time, they got banned from radio stations, fans boycotted their shows, and more. The Chicks even received death threats. And it was not just them, apparently. Come to find out those who people believed looked like the girl group faced scary, life-threatening situations, too…
