Jessica Simpson is pissed about Nick Lachey talking about her in the press, and she’s prepared to go to war if he doesn’t zip it soon!
You may recall that in April, reports surfaced that the former couple sat a few feet away from each other in first class on a flight from Los Angeles, California, to Kauai, Hawaii. Nick confirmed the news on Watch What Happens Live the following month, saying they actually haven’t seen each other in 20 years since their divorce! Whoa! Some may think seeing your ex-wife for the first time in two decades while trapped in a tin can for six and a half hours would be awkward as hell, but the 98 Degrees member insisted they were “very, very cordial” and “very respectful” to each other. In fact, he felt the reunion had been “fine.”

But if you believe the latest report, Jessica feels they are nowhere near “fine” now! RadarOnline claims she’s ready to go off on him if Nick keeps blabbing about her personal business! Damn! Why such an intense reaction? See, when the Love Is Blind host spilled about their run-in, he created some drama for Jess online! He told Andy Cohen that the Irresistible singer was sitting in first class with her mother, Tina Ann Simpson. Meanwhile, her estranged husband, Eric Johnson, and their three children, Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie, sat back in economy.
Social media users bashed Jessica for not letting her ex and kids join them in first class. However, the 45-year-old actress later clarified to photographers that her “mom bought those tickets,” and it was a “treat” for them. And if Jessica had bought the tickets herself, she said “of course” her children would’ve been sitting with her too. But not Eric? LOL!
The seating arrangements are a non-issue for Jessica, though! What she has a problem with is Nick using the situation for his own personal gain! A Jessica source told RadarOnline:
“The seating arrangements aren’t that deep or scandalous, but somehow Nick is seeing fit to comment. For Jessica, it feels like he’s trying to use this for a hit of fame, riding the coattails of a marriage that ended 20 years ago.”
She wouldn’t even be surprised if he had leaked the initial reports about their run-in! Wow! And if Nick continues to talk about her publicly, this is her warning — she will flip out on him! The source continued:
“Based on the way Nick revealed in the attention the story brought him, it’s hard not to suspect he may have been the one to leak it in the first place. It’s aggravating. Jessica has no shame over letting her kids fly coach. They’ve done nothing to warrant first class.”
You’ve been warned, Nick! We guess their next reunion in 20 years won’t be as friendly! If anything, Jessica may avoid him as much as possible now so he can’t use it for clout!
