More legal problems for Dolce & Gabbana!
The Italian luxury brand AND Nordstrom are being sued by Peter Fonda for selling $295 Easy Rider t-shirts (like the one above) without his permission.
On Friday, the actor filed a complaint saying he has:
“suffered injuries to his peace, happiness, feelings, goodwill, reputation, image, loss of fair market values of his services and dilution of his current and future publicity value.”
Sounds like a situation similar to Rihanna’s ongoing Topshop battle!
Fonda is not only seeking at least $6 million in damages, but also punitive damages, attorneys├óΓé¼Γäó fees, and for both parties to surrender “any profits they generated from sales with the images and likenesses Fonda claims were used without his authorization.”
Dayum! He’s really going for the jugular!
Even though the shirts have miraculously disappeared from D&G and Nordstrom’s websites, Dolce & Gabbana have yet to respond to the complaint. They’re probs still cooling down from last weekend’s mass closure in Italy.
