Who Threw The First Punch?! The Pap That Sam Worthington Knocked Out Yesterday Says It Was Sam's GF Who Started It!

It sounds like another classic case of, “he said, she said.”
Or more like, “he kicked, she hit, he punched!”
Sam Worthington was hauled off to jail yesterday after assaulting a photographer in New York! The Avatar actor claimed to be protecting his girlfriend Lara Bingle from the overzealous papz.
Sam’s story is that photographer Sheng Li kicked his lady in the shins!
Say WHAT?!
But Sheng Li claims it was Lara who got violent first!
The photog’s lawyer spoke on his behalf today, saying:

“She claims that Mr. Li was following her for four hours and then runs up and kicks her in the shins. In what world does that make any sense?├óΓé¼┬¥

Li admits to taking Sam and Lara’s picture all day. Eventually, Lara allegedly lost it and ran up the block and attacked him!
That’s when Li apparently defended himself, which lead to Worthington punching Li, or so Sheng says.
Both Sam and the photographer have been released from jail now. Sam was issued a ticket to appear in court at a later date.
Violence is never the answer though. And that goes DOUBLE for you, Sheng Li! If you did indeed strike Lara, even if you call it self-defense, it’s still a man hitting a woman.
Not cool!
We’ll let a judge decide just who’s in the wrong here.
