Poor Whoopi! Goldberg Quits Sister Act Musical After Mother's Stroke!

Oh no!
Whoopi Goldberg has cut her run on the West End production of Sister Act short after her mother suffered a stroke yesterday. Producers of the show say that Whoopi flew back stateside early this morning after hearing about her mother’s illness and offered this sentiment to Whoopi:
“The thoughts and sincere best wishes of the producers and the entire ‘Sister Act’ company are with her at this difficult time.”

We second that. Here’s also hoping for a speedy recovery for Whoopi’s mom.
