Priscilla Is Finally Hitting The Big Apple!!

Priscilla is back! The hit movie is leaving the Australian Outback and is heading to Broadway!

The stage musical originated in Sydney and traveled to London, but now the big tour bus is making its way to the Big Apple. In talks to play Adam/Felicia, the role Guy Pearce made famous is West Side Story’s Matt Cavenaugh.

Hair’s Will Swenson will play Tick/Mitzy, the role played onscreen by Hugo Weaving. Terence Stamp’s Bernadette will be reprised by Tony Sheldon. Director Simon Phillips is also returning to the show.

We can expect the Queen of the Desert to hit the stage March 2011.

Also, coming to the stage next spring is Daniel Radcliffe in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and even more interestingly, The Book of Mormon by…South Park creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

2011 is going to be an amazing year for Broadway!
