But can we talk about some SUPER shady royal birthday behavior?! OK, great — let’s do it! Ha!!!
Fans are calling out Kensington Palace after the royal outlet’s official Instagram account appeared to throw serious shade at Prince Harry in a public post sending birthday wishes to the Queen on Sunday.

Here’s the IG post in question (below)… let us know if you see anything, uhhhhh, noteworthy about how prominent Prince William and Kate Middleton are in the photo relative to Harry and Meghan Markle:
Hmmm… we’re no royal family members ourselves, but something seems a little strange that Kensington Palace would openly feature William and Kate alongside the Queen while barely showing but a sliver of Harry’s head — and no Meghan at all!
First off, poor Harry!!! Ginger princes (probably) have it tough enough as it is… showing but a sliver of their head in an official family photo is just brutal! LOLz!
As for Meghan… granted, that photo was taken back at the 2016 Trooping the Colour parade (the Queen’s annual belated birthday celebration), back before Meghan was a royal fixture — but that’s the point.

Was Kensington Palace somehow unable to choose a more appropriate picture to capture the FULL royal family — a picture that maybe could’ve been taken more recently than that one, like, at any point in the last couple years?! REALLY?! Crazy!!!
Called Out By Fans!
As you might suspect, we’re far from the only ones who recognized something shady was going on with the birthday post… IG users immediately jumped on board to call out the Palace, and the royal family, for their uneven treatment of William & Harry (and Kate, and Meghan).
“Old pics continually being posted,” one ‘Gram user opined, calling out the Palace’s, um, interesting editorial decisions without saying so many words.
Another user acknowledged the never-ending controversial reports of an ongoing rift between William & Harry, writing, “Interesting choice of photo… almost like you looking for trouble. Is there not enough rumors and speculation going around. Why add fuel to the fire?”
Good question!!
Some defended Kensington Palace, with one user cleverly arguing, “This is a photo from her 90th birthday milestone. Megan wasn’t in the picture yet. Literally and figuratively.” And while that’s correct, technically, it still doesn’t answer the question about why the Palace couldn’t find a new picture of the Queen that more appropriately shows the whole family, all together at once. Hmm…
It’s not just the Instagram comments, though! Increasingly common media reports suggest that there’s a growing distance between Princes William and Harry — so much so that the elder bro may be thinking about sending his younger bro and pregnant young wife to Africa after the couple’s first child is born. Talk about taking away the spotlight!!!
