Is Rebel Wilson fighting a battle against herself?
Since 2024, the Senior Year actress has been involved in a series of nasty legal battles spiraling out of her directorial debut The Deb. Most recently, she took to Instagram to drag billionaire AI Film owner Len Blavatnik, who funded the film, and producer Amanda Ghost, whom she claims conducted “inappropriate behavior” against star Charlotte MacInnes and “[embezzled] funds from the film’s budget.”
Many of the Pitch Perfect actress’ claims have since been thrown out by a judge, but that didn’t stop her from going nuclear earlier this week. On Tuesday, the 46-year-old took to her Instagram to fire off a series of claims against Blavatnik, including that he’s named in the Epstein files.
And now, insiders fear she may be her own biggest threat amid all her legal matters.
On Wednesday, a source dubbed the Australian actress “reckless,” and suggested she is her own worst enemy after her social media posts. They told Page Six:
“She’s only making things worse, and not thinking things through. It’s astonishing. She’s frustrated with how things are going and is being reckless and irrational.”
The source also speculated that she released the posts without consulting a lawyer.
Over the weekend, audio surfaced of Rebel’s PR team seemingly plotting a smear campaign to launch against Ghost, accusing her of trafficking “hookers for Blavatnik.” A nasty allegation that really kick-started all the press around this lawsuit drama again. But in her latest social media activity, she cautioned fans to be on the lookout for a PR smear campaign against her, especially after her recent claims. Hmm.
