Renee Zellweger and Doyle Bramhall may be a new item — but they’re old friends!
The duo first met over 20 years ago while they were studying at the University of Texas in 1990. Insiders say the award-winning actress and the guitarist “didn’t date then” during their time in Austin, but kept in touch over the years.
According to the insider, the two Texans often ran into each other in El Lay. It wasn’t until this summer — when both stars found themselves single — that Zellweger and Bramhall finally decided to get romantical and go on their very-first date.
The pal says:
“Things went from there. Renee’s really happy and has a new life.”
Yay!
After watching Mz. Bridget Jones struggle with fellas (Bradley Cooper, Jack White and Jim Carrey to name a few) — it’s FABULOUS to hear she’s may have finally found the one!
