Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has shockingly returned to Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
For those who don’t know, the 37-year-old reality star exited the reality show nearly two years ago now, in May 2021 to focus on his mental health. This was, of course, after he was arrested for domestic violence, for which he was never formally charged. During the hiatus, he did briefly appear on the show in August 2022. During that appearance, Ronnie revealed he was one-year sober and “basically [had] full-time” custody of his 4-year-old daughter Ariana Sky Magro, who he shares with his ex-girlfriend Jen Harley.
Although the television personality seemingly made strides when it came to his personal life, he appears to be still estranged from the cast, as he has not filmed with them in nearly two years. The only person he’s spoken with on camera has been Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, who told him he needed to make amends with the rest of the cast if he wanted to have a relationship with them moving forward.
After the episode, Ronnie didn’t showed up on the series again for months! Now he’s back — but there’s a chance he still hasn’t apologized to the group — or didn’t want to awkwardly run into his ex-girlfriend Sammi Sweetheart — because he did not return to join a cast trip! Nope. He popped up in this week’s episode just to give fans a brief update on his life right now.

During Wednesday’s episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Ronnie told cameras he’s leaving El Lay to move to Florida for “a change of pace” — and to open up a new shoe store. The dad of one explained:
“I think I needed a change of scenery and just a change of pace in my life. So I decided to move from L.A. to Miami. I’m opening up a new business, a sneaker store. It’s just something that’s always been a passion of mine.”
He continued to reflect on his legal troubles, saying:
“For the last couple of years, I was in a bad situation. I almost lost everything that I built. I almost lost my daughter. I was in treatment for eight or nine months. It helped me grow and made me a stronger person. Now, I have full custody of my daughter. It’s a lot of hard work, but she keeps me balanced. She calms my world down. I didn’t have the perfect situation with her mother, but she turned out perfect. She’s so sweet and polite, it’s like…are you mine?!”
It sounds like Ronnie is doing well after everything that’s happened. It’s unknown if this mini-update means he’ll be returning to the show full-time or not. But if he does, Jersey Shore fans can expect that we won’t be seeing Sammi again anytime soon! She’ll pack her bags to go home so fast if he came back to the show! LOLz.
