Rose McGowan is fighting this drug charge!
Following her arrest for felony cocaine possession, the Charmed alum announced that she plans to plead not guilty to the allegation AND suggested that the drugs found in her belongings were planted. Well, well!!

As we previously reported, back in January, an airport employee allegedly found the industry vet’s wallet with two bags of white powder inside. Police claim the baggies tested positively for cocaine. However, Rose is now defending that a trip to the bathroom gave someone ample opportunity to plant the illegal substance in her wallet.
While speaking with The New Yorker‘s Ronan Farrow, McGowan detailed how she carried a slim card wallet with her on the United flight to Washington. Not only did the 44-year-old never take her wallet out of her bag, but she also left her bag unattended when she went to the restroom.
Rose recalled:

“I had it in the side pocket of my backpack, and I left it on my seat as I went to the bathroom…”

Upon her arrival at Washington Dulles International Airport, Rose realized her wallet was MIA and tweeted at United for assistance in locating it. When a detective reached out to her to claim her wallet, McGowan was hesitant to do so as she had been recently followed amid her claims of rape against a “studio head.”
The movie mogul in question was later revealed to be Harvey Weinstein, who DID have his misconduct accusers followed by intelligence operatives.
Initially, the Scream actress planned to turn herself over to the police, but was fearful that this warrant was a ploy to silence her. She continued:

“I was going to ASAP but then things started to get really weird. I knew I was being followed and that I wasn’t safe.”

Fair point. McGowan has also noted that she isn’t a user of cocaine and wouldn’t have even thought to bring drugs with her to D.C. as she was in the country’s capital for the Women’s March. On how she plans to plead, Rose concluded:

“I will clearly plead not guilty.”

There you have it. Be sure to ch-ch-check back for any updates on this controversy…
