25 years ago today, the long vibrato of a harmonica introduced us to what would become one of the most successful sitcoms in TV history!
Roseanne premiered on ABC on October 18, 1988 and introduced the U.S. and the world to the Conner family.
They were blue-collar.
They were brazenly honest.
And they were HIGHlarious!
Roseanne transformed her standup comedy act into this candid series that showcased what it was like to raise a family in middle America.
With a legendarily talented cast, including John Goodman, Sara Gilbert and Laurie Metcalf, this laugh-out-loud show entertained millions for nine seasons.
But we bet there’re some things you never knew about this series! Like why the original DJ had to quit the show! Or that George Clooney played Roseann’e boss in the first season!
Take a trip back to Lanford, Illinois for Roseanne’s 25th anniversary!
