'SNL' Alum Sasheer Zamata Educates Louis C.K. By Expertly Reworking His Horrifying Parkland Survivors Joke!

Sasheer Zamata has some notes for Louis C.K.
Back in December, the already-disgraced comedian came under fire for taking aim at the Parkland shooting survivors during a set at a Long Island comedy club, saying the surviving teens should be “finger-f**king each other and doing Jell-O shots” instead of going after gun control.
Countless critics condemned the Emmy-winner’s tasteless jokes after audio from the performance leaked on social media, with many feeling that C.K.’s attempt to critique the hype-sensitivity of today’s vociferous teenagers felt flat.
During a performance in El Lay on Wednesday, Zamata reworked C.K.’s Parkland bit to prove that it could have actually been funny had he not been so malicious about it.

The Saturday Night Live alum told the crowd:

“He says that the survivors of the shootings shouldn’t be spending their time talking to Congress about gun control. Instead they should be ‘finger-f**king’ each other. But who’s to say they’re not? They can do both! They’re teenagers — of course they’re finger-f**king each other! They just know how to separate sex from work, which I understand is a hard concept for Louie to grasp. Which is ironic, because we all know how much Louie loves to grasp hard concepts.”

Ha! She schooled him on comedy while simultaneously shading him for those sexual misconduct allegations!
Zamata later defended C.K.’s comedy-given right to joke about anything he wants on stage. But she argued that, unlike his more thought-provoking pre-masturbation scandal sets, the 51-year-old’s Parkland bit came without a punchline — thus dishonoring the comedian’s code.
She said:

“You can’t just get up onstage and say blatantly racist, transphobic, victim-blaming statements without a punch line! Like, who are you — all of our uncles?”

We can’t wait to hear Zamata’s critique of C.K.’s more recent, ickier set where his punchline was just a… weird reference to the 9/11 terror attacks.
Head over to Vulture to hear a clip of Zamata’s bit.
