School Of Rock The Musical Is Really Happening Thanks To Andrew Lloyd Webber & Jack Black!

For those about to rock, we salute you!
There is finally confirmation that, after over a decade, there WILL be a School of Rock musical!

The 2003 movie, starring Jack Black, will make its way to Broadway in 2015, thanks to the actor and more famous theatrical
faces!
Andrew Lloyd Webber will write new music, in addition to some of the songs already in the flick, and the lyrics will be done by Glenn Slater, who worked on Tangled and Broadway’s The Little Mermaid. A book will also be written by Downton Abbey‘s Julian Fellowes! Les Miserables‘ Laurence Connor will be the director.
We can already hear the awesomeness!!!
The previews will start on November 2nd, 2015, and it will open on December 6th.
Oh, and did we mention the movie is also getting the TV series treatment next year? Yup! Nickelodeon picked it up and announced a 2015 release date.
