Selena Gomez Calls Francia Raísa Her 'Best Friend' After Feud Rumors!

Are Selena Gomez and Francia Raísa back on good terms?

For those who don’t recall, the pair seemed to have a falling out in November of last year. The drama started when Selena declared in an interview with Rolling Stone that Taylor Swift was her “only friend” in Hollywood, saying:

“I never fit in with a cool group of girls that were celebrities. My only friend in the industry really is Taylor, so I remember feeling like I didn’t belong.”

This statement upset Francia, who notably donated her kidney to the 30-year-old singer in 2017. She found out about Selly’s remarks and commented “interesting” in the comments section of an E! News Instagram post about the interview. However, the 34-year-old actress quickly deleted the comment before unfollowing Selena on the ‘gram. The Only Murders In The Building star later reacted to the messy situation on TikTok, saying:

“Sorry I didn’t mention every person I know.”

They didn’t seem to fix things, as Francia hasn’t been following her ever since! Selena has also continued to call Tay her bestie. But months later, it sounds like the two might be in a better place now! Why is that? Because during an episode of Apple TV+’s Dear… on Friday, Selena called the How I Met Your Father star her “best friend” while discussing how she selflessly donated a kidney to help her battle with Lupus. She said on the show:

“I will never ever, ever be more in debt to a person than Francia. The idea of someone not even second-guessing to be a donor was unbelievably overwhelming.”

The Rare Beauty founder went on to recall the moment Francia decided to get tested to see if she was a match:

“My best friend, her name is Francia. She said no I’m absolutely getting tested. So within three days, she went to go do it and she was a match. It was one of those moments where I felt watched over. I know I was so, so, so lucky. I understand that that doesn’t happen for a lot of people and I know the outcome of some of those situations and how serious they are, so I do not take it lightly that it’s happened to me that way.”

She added:

“I think it had to happen the way that it did in order for me to get to where I am. I was meant to go through it to do something for others.”

Important to note: It’s unclear when her interview for the show was filmed, so it is unknown if Selena said this before or after the drama in November. This means we also don’t know if the pair have made up since then. But as we mentioned before, Francia hasn’t followed her back on Insta yet, so there is still a chance that their friendship is still strained right now. Nevertheless, it sounds like Selena is thankful for Francia no matter what happens between them!
