Selena Gomez just debuted a brand new tattoo!
Hours before gracing the red carpet and stage at the American Music Awards, the 27-year-old shared behind-the-scenes shots of herself getting ready for her first time back at the big show in years.
Along with plenty of hair and makeup preparations, the starlet also apparently squeezed in a bit of time to get some fresh ink of praying hands with a rosary dangling from them on her left thigh. Nice!

Selena captioned the snap, “AMAs day.. more to come..,” and credited New York City-based ink artist Bang Bang Tattoo by tagging them in the photo.
Their IG account commented, “Looks great!” on the singer’s post, as well as sharing even more BTS from the special tattoo house call on their page, too. Scroll through and see it for yourself here:
Cool! But, there’s just one thing…
Anyone else but us notice the Lose You To Love Me crooner’s latest tattoo bears a striking resemblance to her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber‘s ink??
We know the Biebs has so many different pieces on his body that it might be hard to remember exactly what we’re referring to.
Take another look at it in this shot, captured by the Miami Beach Police Department as a piece of identification for the Purpose singer during his 2014 arrest in the South Florida city:

While the pieces look nearly identical, there are a few key differences. For starters, Justin’s tat is located on the left side of his body just like Selly’s — but it’s on the outer side of his calf instead. His version doesn’t include a rosary, either, and features roses at the bottom whereas Gomez’s does not have that extra addition.
Now, we’ll take this coincidence with a grain of salt as both performers are openly religious and proud of their faith. So, we’re not exactly surprised the pop star chose this image to live permanently on her body.
However, the similarity is too great to ignore. Did she just forget her ex had the same thing?? We hope Hailey Bieber doesn’t feel a certain type of way about it…
Selena’s Big Night!
As we mentioned at the top, the Wolves singer had quite the night at the AMAs and emotions ran high as she took the stage to perform her latest singles.
According to a source who spoke to E! News about it, as we previously reported, she apparently put so much pressure on herself over the show-opening number to LYTLM that she suffered some ill effects (below):
“Selena definitely had anxiety and a panic attack before she went out and was putting a lot of pressure on herself.”
Luckily, Gomez was able to overcome her nerves and rock the stage to her upbeat record, Look At Me Now, later on.
