Shakira Claims Ex Gerard Piqué Asked To Get 'Back Together' Behind GF's Back In Savage New Diss Track!

Shakira is back with another breakup song!

The singer has been turning to her music to process her devastating split from her partner of 11 years, Gerard Piqué. As Perezcious readers know, the pair split last summer after the soccer player allegedly cheated on her for some time — in their own home! Since the breakup, he’s had no problem going public with his apparent mistress, 23-year-old Clara Chia Marti. Naturally, the new relationship is really weighing on Shakira!

In a new collab with Karol G out on Friday called TQG, Sharika opens up about how “hurt” she’s been watching Gerard move on so quickly — and she even calls him out for trying to get “back together” despite everything he’s put her through!! Oooh!

In the first verse of the song, which has been loosely translated from Spanish, the pop star sings:

“You are no longer welcome here / I saw what your girlfriend threw at me / It doesn’t make me angry / I laughed.”

To prove just how much better off she is now that she’s single, the Zootopia alum says she got “triple M” after the FC Barcelona player left her last year — AKA “much hotter, much tougher, much lighter.” Hah! Love it!

Then things get more serious when the Hips Don’t Lie vocalist puts Gerard on blast for attempting to mend things! She claims he “wants to get back together” — something she knows would only make her an “idiot” for doing. And just for the record, she’s not interested! Both musicians sing in the chorus:

“What are you doing looking for me if you know that I don’t repeat mistakes? Tell your new baby that I don’t compete for men.”

Karol ended her engagement with Anuel AA in 2021, so she knows a thing or two about what her duet partner is feeling right now! As for Shakira, she went on to insist her life has gotten “even better” without the athlete by her side, which has “offended” him.

She then claims she caught the father of her two children “liking a photo of” hers seemingly after their breakup, noting:

“My love, you really distanced yourself. And I can’t see so far away, baby.”
