Wow. This sounds awful.
Earlier this week, we were bummed to hear that Sinead O’Connor decided to leave her new husband Barry Herridge after only 18 days of marriage!
At the time she released a statement about her failed marriage, in which she had the following to say:
“Within 3 hours of the ceremony being over the marriage was kyboshed by the behaviour of certain people in my husband’s life. And also by a bit of a wild ride I took us on looking for a bit of a smoke of weed for me wedding night as I don’t drink.”
“My husband was enormously wounded and very badly effected by that experience and also by the attitude of those close to him toward our marriage. It became apparent to me that if he were to stay with me he would be losing too much to bear├óΓé¼┬ª”
Now, Sinead has opened up further about her experience looking for “a bit of a smoke of weed” in Las Vegas:
“It felt like I was living in a coffin — it was going to be a coffin for both of us, and I saw him crushed…the whole reason I ended it was out of respect and love for the man.”
“We ended up in a cab in some place that was quite dangerous. I wasn’t scared ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ but he’s a drugs counselor. What was I thinking?”
Sinead has also said that new/former hubby was “‘very frightened’ when she wound up with ‘a lock of crack’ in her hand.”
Um…of course he was! CRACK?!?!!? If that’s true, then that’s waaaaay worse than “a bit of a smoke of weed.”

What do U think? Would U have bailed on UR marriage if the person U just married went searching for drugs after the ceremony???
