We hope they find this sick person!
On September 19th, at a Foster Farms shed near Fresno, California, an unknown person entered the chicken facility and began swinging and hitting the chickens that live there.
The person ended up killing over 900 chickens, and the people assigned to the case at the Fresno County Sheriff’s Ag Unit have NO idea who did this awful crime!
Here’s what Deputy Chris Curtice said:
“In law enforcement we see bad things all the time, but this is beyond comprehension, that people could take so much time to do this…We did find a piece of a golf club at the scene. They may have used something else also.”
The Deputy summed up our feelings on the matter when he then said:
“This is sick. Whoever did this is a sick individual. This is psychopathic behavior.”
And although over 900 chickens were killed, there were still many that were hit with the golf club and survived… barely.
Foster Farms has since released a statement on the acts committed against their chickens, and have offered up a $5,000 dollar reward. Here’s what their statement said:
“The perpetrator committed an unconscionable act of animal cruelty… It is the express policy of Foster Farms to treat its birds humanely and with compassion.”
Deputy Curtice said:
“I can’t imagine someone going through something like this, not having blood on their clothes.”
Ugh!
We thought we had seen everything in this world, but this is just horrendous.
We sincerely hope they get this sick person soon, so they can start paying for this awfulness that they’ve inflicted immediately!
This type of brutal behavior makes us sick to our stomach!!!
