If you skipped school or work today to watch re-runs of The Jersey Shore, you might have noticed something a little different.
Peel your eyes away from Snooki’s antics for a second and you’ll notice that the MTV logo has changed. Not drastically in the aesthetic sense, but something very important has been removed.
Almost 30 years ago, when MTV first started broadcasting, the tag line “music television” ran across the bottom of the MTV logo. Now, it doesn’t.
It’s a little change making a huge statement!
The network has finally realized what most of us have noticed for years: MTV has nothing to do with music. Now, its a place for guilty-pleasure reality shows and outlandish award shows.
So the change has been made. Duly noted.
Now, return to watching The Situation refer to himself in the third person.
