Oh no!! But what happened to Spice for Life?!
We were radiating with glorious girl power upon hearing rumors that The Spice Girls would perform at the 2012 Olympics closing ceremony, but it seems sisterly love is fading fast between Baby (Emma Bunton), Sporty (Mel B.), Scary (Mel C.), Ginger (Geri Halliwell), and Posh (Victoria Beckham)!
According to a Spice Girls insider, Mel B. is requesting uber-extravagance in her Olympic contract and refuses to perform unless her demands are met!
The source reveals:
“She wants her friends and family flown from all over to see the gig and wants them to have backstage access. And her rider, which includes a demand for a personal stylist to be flown wherever she goes, is ridiculous.”
There are also whisperings that Victoria Beckham has ‘lost’ the Spice spirit, and has refused to play past important gigs like Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee concert!
Geri apparently expressed to friends:
“None of us can understand why she won’t take advantage of these opportunities. Now is the time to be together again as a band and she and Mel B can’t be in the same room together.”
Oh dear! But what about the Spice Girls musical, Viva Forever, which is SUPPOSED to open sometime at the end of the year? Doesn’t a Spice Girls spat kind of contradict the whole sentiment of the show??
Get your pretty little heads out of your toned bums, ladies! Don’t let silly disagreements interfere with great friendships!
What we want, what we really, really want, is for the five spices to amicably mix-together so they can continue to create delicious, zesty musical pies!
