We are still shocked over the sad death of Stephen “tWitch” Boss.
Of course, tributes and memorials from celebrities and fans alike have been rolling in across the last day after his shocking death by suicide was first reported on Wednesday. In addition to the mournful posts, people are wondering what happened behind the scenes to get to this heartbreaking point.
Later on Wednesday, confirmation came out about some of tWitch’s actions on the final day of his life. Also, his cause of death was confirmed later on Wednesday evening, too. But even now, a day later, there are few answers coming as to what led up to that awful and tragic moment.

On Thursday morning, TMZ reported new information about the case derived from law enforcement sources in Los Angeles. According to the outlet, tWitch’s wife Allison Holker was “adamant” about filing a missing persons report on Tuesday after her husband first left their home. That’s because he abruptly disappeared and stopped all communication with Allison, insiders say — which was a very irregular attribute.
Apparently, when Holker walked into an LAPD station on Tuesday to report tWitch’s disappearance, she “stressed how out of character” it was for him to have vanished like that. Per the outlet, she told cops he “simply left their house.” There was apparently no argument or other strife leading up to his departure. Then, he wouldn’t answer any of her phone calls as she tried to reach him. Worried, Allison turned to the police for help.
Cops were so concerned that they accompanied Allison back to her family’s home. Per TMZ, they searched the property for any security camera footage that might be available. They also looked around for clues as to whether tWitch would have indicated where he’d gone. The whole time, Holker knew something was wrong. She pushed cops to file a missing persons report. In fact, she was so insistent, insiders say officers actually considered listing tWitch’s absence as a “critical missing persons” case.

Of course, as we’ve reported, the LAPD barely had time to initiate a missing person investigation. Mere hours after Allison’s contact with cops on Tuesday, a call came in about a death at a motel less than a mile from the couple’s home. Police began investigating that case independently. But eventually, the dead man’s identity was revealed. Quickly, it connected back to Holker’s concern over her husband’s abrupt departure from their home.
In the ensuing day, Allison herself shared a touching and heartbreaking tribute to her late husband. And the high-profile memorials and messages of grief continue to come in, too. Further answers about what precipitated this sad situation aren’t available, but it’s all secondary to the sadness and grief anyways.
We continue to offer our condolences to tWitch’s family, friends, and loved ones during this terrible time. There just aren’t words to convey the sadness and heartbreak at this point.
