A recent study found that just because a woman gets older, doesn’t mean she’s any more comfortable with her body.
Apparently 62% of women over the age of 50 reported that their weight negatively impacted their lives.
Many of them were found to have eating disorders.
The study author said:

“I would say the findings were expected to me, but will come as a surprise to the rest of the world. We have been seeing this clinically, but have not had the data to say this is something that├óΓé¼Γäós going on. The stereotype is that eating disorders are for adolescents and younger women, but that├óΓé¼Γäós not the case.”

Some of the women already had eating disorders from when they were younger.
Others developed them later in life.
Society is partially to blame.

“As a society, we are placing so much pressure on women over 50 to not look like they├óΓé¼Γäóre aging. There are ads saying, You should buy these products or get this surgery or make these changes, so the world doesn├óΓé¼Γäót have to see your wrinkles. It├óΓé¼Γäós pushing women toward unhealthy weight-controlling behaviors.”

Women need to know that they’re beautiful no matter what.
There are people who love you just the way you are!
