We knew Taylor Swift was really upset about getting pulled into Blake Lively‘s legal drama… But the betrayal hit especially hard when she was finally served a subpoena late last week!
Justin Baldoni‘s legal team subpoenaed her as a trial witness on Friday. While she appeared all smiles in Philadelphia on Sunday with her boyfriend Travis Kelce and their mothers for Mother’s Day, the songwriter is reportedly having a hard time!
A source told DailyMail.com on Sunday that the Anti-Hero artist has been “completely floored” by the lawsuit and is now “very upset” that she was dragged into it even more.

As Perezcious readers know, the Gossip Girl alum accused the It Ends With Us director of sexual harassment — and subsequently orchestrating a smear campaign against her to destroy her credibility. When he countersued, he claimed Blake bullied him practically off the movie. The most infamous incident he described? When Blake tried to use Taylor against him, having her show up unannounced during a script meeting to intimidate him. She made clear what she was doing by bragging afterward about being like Khaleesi from Game of Thrones, with Blake being like one of her “dragons.”
There have even been reports that the Grammy winner was so involved in the project that she helped with the casting process! Though our understanding is Tay had no idea any of this even happened — and felt just used when she found out!
Taylor’s rep has already vehemently denied any wrongdoing in a fiery response to the subpoena news, insisting she had no involvement in the film in any way (other than approving the use of a song). Now a source is doubling down, claiming the hitmaker feels betrayed and “exploited” by her former bestie!
Up until this year, the Lover vocalist considered the actress one of her closest friends. It helped that they live in the same NYC neighborhood and Taylor was named the godmother to Blake’s three daughters. But that’s all been destroyed by this court case, says the confidant! Hitting back at the allegations Taylor was involved behind the scenes, the insider dished:
“Speculation that Taylor chose young Lily in casting is simply untrue. This subpoena delves into events and things that did not occur.”
Another source suggested this subpoena could be the final nail in the coffin of their friendship. While it was Justin’s lawyer Bryan Freedman who sent out the court papers, Taylor blames her ex-friend, the source explained:
“Taylor has been aware that Blake has been exploiting her name for a while now, but this subpoena takes it to a whole new level.”
Oof.
While Blake’s reps didn’t respond to the outlet’s request for a comment, a rep did react to Friday’s subpoena — and it’s clear the Another Simple Favor lead is trying to do as much damage control as possible. Sadly, it sounds like it might be too late. The rep said:
“Mr. Baldoni [continues] to turn a case of sexual harassment and retaliation into entertainment for the tabloids, going as far as suggesting that they sell tickets to a concert venue — Madison Square Garden — to witness Ms. Lively’s deposition, to subpoenaing Taylor Swift, a woman who has given a voice to millions the world over.”
Even that comment seems to show Taylor’s being used! The spokesperson easily could’ve just said Taylor had nothing to do with this. Instead, they’re trying to use Taylor’s high-profile name to their advantage. No wonder the Bad Blood pop icon continues to be so upset, even after receiving an apology!
