It’s a great week to be a Taylor Swift fan!
A day before the hotly-anticipated release of her Lover album, the 29-year-old stopped by ABC’s Good Morning America to perform three of her hits — and also share some more details about her plan to re-record her earlier songs!
Before hitting the stage, Tay sat down with Robin Roberts and was asked about her musical revenge plan in response to Scooter Braun’s acquisition of her masters. As we reported on Wednesday, some industry experts have claimed Swift wouldn’t be allowed to actually re-record her songs because her contract apparently forbids it — but, according to the singer, that will all change come next year.

She explained to Roberts:
“Yeah that’s true and it’s something I’m very excited about. My contract says starting from November 2020 I can start re-recording albums 1-5. I think artists deserve to own their own work. It’s next year, I’m gonna be busy… I think it’s important for artists to own their work.”
That’s what excites Taylor so much about her seventh studio album Lover, which is set to drop on Friday. She said of the new LP:
“Something that’s very special to me about this album is it’s the first one that I will own.”
Sorry, Scooter!
After the sit down, T.Swift went on to perform two tracks from Lover — You Need to Calm Down and ME! — before belting out her 1989 hit, Shake it Off.

The hundreds of Swifties at the mini-concert were physically unable to calm down after camping out overnight for the televised event — and because Tay very much thinks of her fans as extended family, the superstar’s dad made sure to treat them all to dinner the night before!
That’s right! On Wednesday night, the Grammy winner ordered 30 pizzas for her devotees waiting outside NYC’s Central Park, and instructed members of her team — including her dad Scott Swift — to hand deliver them personally.

As you can see, the fans were eternally grateful. One posted a group shot of her and her friends with Scott (below), writing in the caption:
“THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH FOR THE PIZZA AND FOR CARING ABOUT US! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!! Taking a 5 hour bus ride from Virginia and waiting in line since 7 a.m. is the best decision we ever made! You’ve made us the happiest girls in the WORLD!!!”

In addition to the ‘zza, Scott and Tay’s other employees gave out promotional guitar picks designed with Lover logo. Many teardrops fell, we assume.
