Well, that’s quite a sight!
Taylor Swift will finally be making her New Girl appearance on the show’s May 14th finale! YAY!!
The episode that centers on Cece and Shivrang├óΓé¼Γäós wedding is all about the romance — something Tay Tay clearly knows a lot about — and features the country singer as one of the wedding guests.
On meeting Taylor, showrunner Liz Meriwether gushed:
├óΓé¼┼ôI├óΓé¼Γäóm a huge fan of hers… I was fully geeking out about meeting [Taylor]. I didn├óΓé¼Γäót go to meet her right away because I kind of had to compose myself ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ there├óΓé¼Γäós a 14-year-old girl inside of me.├óΓé¼┬¥
Guess Taylor felt the same way when she was caught reciting some of the show’s lines back to Liz!
As for Taylor’s acting, the showrunner added:
“She kind of came and nailed it. We love bringing in guest stars, but we really try to make it feel like they’re part of the show and it’s not just stunt casting.”
Taylor even “did a little bit of a riff on one of her songs.”
Jake Johnson also had something to say about the singer and occasional actress:
“She came in and is really nice. It’s not an easy scene. There were probably 70 extras there — though I’m sure she performs to so much bigger [crowds] than that on a regular basis. She had, like, a little monologue and delivered it perfectly. Liz gave her alternative jokes and lines, she delivered them all perfectly. It was frustrating!”
Could she become our favorite cameo yet?! We’ll just have to wait till May 14th!
