'Teen Mom' Star Mackenzie McKee Finds Powerful Note From Late Mother Weeks After Her Passing

Teen Mom OG star Mackenzie McKee was readying for her first trip to New York City without her late mother, Angie Douthit, when the reality TV star discovered an incredible note seemingly left by her guardian angel. Cue the waterworks on this one, seriously…

McKee has been reeling in the last couple of months after losing her mother to cancer in early December, and this trip to NYC was to be the MTV star’s first-ever without her. But as she got to the city and began to unpack her stuff — with a heavy heart, as you’d expect — McKee discovered a message in her suitcase that her mom had somehow managed to sneak into her bag. Unbelievable!

The TV personality shared what she found with all of her followers on Instagram, inspiring and bringing tears to thousands with this incredible pair of pictures showing off a special wallet with a photo of the late Angie (below):

I have been to New York countless times but never without my momma. It was her favorite place and we always had the time of our lives there together. This trip was hard. I cried and was lonely but also spent time being thankful for these times with her. I opened my suit case after arriving and who knows how this wallet got here but it did. Mom, you figured out how to come with me. Thank you ????

Along with the pics themselves, McKee explained it all to her fans, writing (below):

“I have been to New York countless times but never without my momma. It was her favorite place and we always had the time of our lives there together. This trip was hard. I cried and was lonely but also spent time being thankful for these times with her. I opened my suit case after arriving and who knows how this wallet got here but it did. Mom, you figured out how to come with me. Thank you.”

The photos showed a note handwritten by Angie sometime before her death in early December, which reminded her beloved daughter to work hard and be great in her life. The handwritten message read:

“Mickie, I am so proud of you. You are a true overcomer. You made me a better mom. I can’t wait to see all you do in life. Love you to the moon and back, Mom.”

OMG! Seriously, here come the tears…

The wallet itself also included a powerful inscribed message from mother to daughter, as well. It read:

“To my daughter, I want you to believe deep in your heart that you’re capable of achieving anything you put your mind to, that you will never lose, that you either win or learn. Just go forth and aim for the skies. I can’t promise to be here for the rest of your life, but I can promise to love you for the rest of mine. Love, Mom”

Wow!

We can’t imagine a better, sweeter, more perfect note to get from your mom — or a more appropriate, touching gift to surprisingly receive while grieving her tragic, untimely death. Hopefully this will give the beloved reality TV regular the strength to continue on in this world.
