The Snapple Lady No More

Quirky New Yorker Wendy Kaufman is officially the ex-Snapple Lady, according to reports.

Kaufman was not feeling the new contract Snapple offered her and said adios!

The contract would have paid her for appearances without a promise that any would materialize, she said.

The ex-brandwhore stated, “I just couldn’t accept the contract because it was so one-sided and worth nothing. It was an appearance contract based on whenever they felt like calling. I know they weren’t calling me.”

An exec tells Snapple’s side of the story. He says, “The truth is, we offered her a fair contract for work performed instead of a guaranteed fee. It was her decision not to stay with Snapple and we respect that. We wish her nothing but the best in whatever she does in the future.”

Kaufman’s not crying at home, though. She’s moved on to doing Motorola voiceover work.
