The Next Big Celeb DJ Is... The CEO Of Goldman Sachs??

Tomorrowland Celebrity DJ Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon

If you are an EDM fan who’s sick of all the DJs from Hollywood who keep magically getting all the best gigs… wait until you meet the ones from Wall Street!
Tomorrowland, the enormous EDM festival held in the awesomely named Boom, Belgium, has once again gone outside the box to fill its DJ booth.
This time instead of a celebrity in the classic sense — a reality TV star or a hip, young actor — they’ve gone straight for the money.

The fest announced over the weekend they’d booked David Solomon, better known in the EDM world by the moniker DJ D-Sol.
Of course, he’s best known by his other titled: CEO of multinational investment bank Goldman Sachs.

Clearly, he’s a cool CEO.

We have to give props to Solomon.
It’s one thing to live a double life as a banker and a DJ. It certainly sounds plausible enough to be the premise of a flop film starring Luke Bracey or Brenton Thwaites, or one of those other hot Aussie guys Hollywood seemed intent on selling us in 2015.
It’s another to actually succeed at both, rising to the top of the game in such disparate fields.
For his day job, he’s hard at work turning Goldman Sachs into a full-on private equity firm. You know, like the kind that destroyed Toys ‘R’ Us and Sears.
And in his hobby, he got one of the biggest gigs there is.
Either Solomon is some kind of genius, or… maybe DJing is kind of easy?
Let’s face it — you can’t play soccer in your spare time and get booked for the World Cup. You can’t knock out 60-hour work weeks and relax on the weekends playing golf and expect to win the Masters.
It’s also possible no one wants to piss off the CEO of Goldman Sachs and tell him he sucks at his “true passion.”
Ch-ch-check out some of D-Sol’s beats (below) and decide for yourself.

Obviously D-Sol is not the only celeb who’s gotten into the DJ game.

As a DJ, the Luther star performs under the name DJ Big Driis, aka Big Driis the Londoner.
“Big Driis” eh? Sounds like he’s fine with perpetuating that peen rumor…

Paris is definitely one of the trendsetters when it comes to celeb DJs. She’s been doing it since way back in 2012!
In fact, she was named as the highest paid female DJ in the world by 2014.
She’s the real deal.

Shaq is the biggest DJ in the world.
Physically, he’s an enormous man.
But srsly, he’s been DJing since the ’80s, way before it was the cool new thing for celebs to do.
Now that it is, he’s capitalizing on it — touring the world under the name DJ DIESEL. He even created a carnival music fest called Shaq’s Fun House.
