Trey Songz is facing some serious legal woes.
Early on Monday morning, the Na Na singer surrendered himself to the Los Angeles Police Department over a felony domestic violence charge. The 33-year-old, who was accompanied by attorney Shawn Holley, turned himself over to police custody after a woman claimed he beat her during February’s NBA All-Star Weekend.

According to TMZ, the chart topper was booked around 6 a.m. and released not long after 8 a.m. as he posted his $50,000 bail.
As we previously reported, last week, alleged victim Andrea Buera claimed in an emotional press conference that Trey screamed, choked, and hit her while at a Hollywood Hills bash. Reportedly, the Slow Motion artist was set off by Buera talking to another man. The complainant filed a police report against Songz not long after the incident occurred, which is when this story first came to light.
Despite now facing a criminal charge, Trey is vehement that he is being framed. On Monday, he took to Twitter and wrote:
For weeks my lawyers & Mgmt have asked me not to comment on this and I initially agreed but this morning I feel that my fam, the women that raised me, my friends & fans especially the youth need to hear from me. I am being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain

I won’t be speaking too much more on this but would like to thank you for all the prayers and support. 🙏🏾❤️💪🏾

Huh. As for Trey’s attorney, it’s said she’s ready to fight the alleged “inconsistencies” in Andrea’s allegation and there are supposed witnesses who will refute Buera’s claim. Nonetheless, it looks like Trey has a messy legal battle ahead of him.
Stay tuned for any and all updates.
