Two And A Half Men Finale Gives Chuck Lorre The Last Laugh! Find Out The Joke Charlie Sheen Refused To Return For HERE!

We thought he was going to show up, but in the end the finale had nothing to do with him!
Well, except for the very last cue card!
Charlie Sheen ended up NOT showing up for Two And A Half Men‘s series finale and creator Chuck Lorre addressed it all in the very last cue card!

And it appears that although he didn’t show up — they definitely offered him a way to be a part of the very last show that he was so prominent on for so long!
Here’s what Lorre’s cue card said:

“I know a lot of you might be disappointed that you didn’t get to see Charlie Sheen in tonight’s finale. For the record he was offered a role. Our idea was to have him walk up to the front door in the last scene, ring the doorbell, then turn, look directly into the camera and go off on a maniacal rant about the dangers of drug abuse. He would then explain that these dangers only apply to average people. That he was far from average. He was a ninja warrior from Mars. He was invincible. And then we would drop a piano on him. We thought it was funny. He didn’t. Instead, he wanted us to write a heart-warming scene that would set up his return to primetime TV in a new sitcom called The Harpers starring him and Jon Cryer. We thought that was funny too.”

And while Charlie didn’t have the piano dropped on his head, Chuck Lorre did get a cameo in and had the piano dropped on him instead!
Chuck Lorre later talked about it all in an interview published on Thursday:

“I made a decision a month or so ago that there was so much demand, so much excitement about seeing Charlie come back for the finale that it was the right thing to do to try to come up with something we could have fun with, to poke fun at all the craziness. It was presented to him. He didn’t like it. And we weren’t excited about what he wanted to do. So it didn’t go forward.”

Aww! It’s too bad they weren’t able to reconnect even a little bit for the series finale!
But they both made a lot of money from this long running show so it isn’t like we’re exactly crying for either of them, ha!
RIP Two and a Half Men! We really, really knew ye!!!
