Update: Drugs Involved In Andy Irons Death

As announced yesterday, pro-surfer Andy Irons died from heart disease, but despite what his parents insisted, an official autopsy reports that methadone and cocaine played a part in his death.

The report read:

“The primary and underlying cause of death is ischemic heart disease due to coronary artery pathology. Drugs… particularly, methadone and cocaine, are other significant conditions contributing to death but not resulting in the underlying cause.”

Sad. Send positive vibes to his family!
