Walton Goggins brought a familiar face with him to the Studio 8H stage… But it’s probably not the face you were expecting to see.
The 53-year-old took up hosting duties during the latest episode of Saturday Night Live. And while many fans were waiting with bated breath for his White Lotus co-star Aimee Lou Wood to make a guest appearance amid their rumored feud, that moment sadly never came. Instead, Sam Rockwell filled the White Lotus-sized hole!

During a sketch titled Tiny Baby Shoe, series regular Jane Wickline stumbles upon, well, a tiny baby shoe in the Central Park Zoo. She then breaks into song searching for the “tiny Cinderella” it belongs to, only to discover it’s Walton’s — who has tiny baby feet as a full grown man! He sings:
“Actually, the shoe belongs to me. I’m a fully grown ass man, with tiny baby feet, and I’d really be so grateful if you’d give my shoe back to me.”
The Righteous Gemstones star adds:
“Surely this is fate, and you and I will date!”
The musical number then comes to a screeching halt after Wickline informs him she will NOT be dating him. Offended and let down, Walton responds:
“You go and leave me be. I’d walk away myself, but I’m tired already. I already walked like 45,000 steps today. I’ve only been awake for like 20 minutes.”
LOLz!
It’s at that moment that Sam, who played Rick’s friend Frank in The White Lotus, appears in the zoo as a balloon artist. He says:
“Hey, I’m Sam Rockwell. I think we’ve all learned a very valuable lesson today. Cinderella rules aren’t real-life rules.”
It’s then revealed that Sam’s feet, like Walton’s, are tiny baby-sized. Watch the full skit (below):
HA!
Very cutesy, very funny… But we have to admit we, like many others, were hoping Aimee Lou would make an appearance. Or that at least Walton would make ANY sort of mention about all their feud rumors! But we guess the time wasn’t right!
Earlier this week on the Met Gala red carpet, however, Entertainment Tonight asked the Sex Education star if she’d be making a cameo on the comedy show. She responded:
“I couldn’t say … But also… I’m not doing that.”
She went on to root for Walton:
“It would be fun. I loved working with Walton. It was the best thing ever … He’s going to be incredible doing SNL. It’s the perfect thing for him to do. It’s going to be hilarious. I’m so excited to see it.”
Maybe she’s just still upset over being made fun of in an earlier episode of the show! But at least she kind of put feud rumors to rest with those glowing remarks about Walton.
