Fox has reportedly unlocked the title West Side Story, making it available for a remake! Why?
Because Steven Spielberg is interested in the project!
No! Steven, you are obvi a very accomplished filmmaker, but why mess with perfection?!
You used to get inspired by old movies and make amazing new versions of them- like how Indiana Jones was a big budget version of adventure serials!
And you didn’t remake Sergeant York– you made a new classic WWII movie with Saving Private Ryan!
Please, by all means, like all of us, LOVE West Side Story, be INSPIRED by West Side Story, dance along in your underwear to West Side Story (is that last one just us?)-
But don’t remake West Side Story. Make your own story.
