Barbara Walters retired from The View back in May, but the drama obviously didn’t end there!
In these past couple of weeks, there have been HUGE changes to the panel of ladies when Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd announced their departure from the highly rated talk show.
Just recently we all learned of the two new co-hosts who tested with Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg — however, that process didn’t go as smoothly as everyone expected.
A production source on the show revealed that during show testings, Rosie got into a heated debate with potential host S.E. Cupp over abortion which caused Whoopi to audibly express her frustration with Babs.
In a sea of show producers and potential replacement hosts, the show biz veteran reportedly said she has been:
“Working with a cranky 85-year-old woman who’s mad about everything for 2 years, and I need a break.”
Yikes. Whoopi had enough of the escalating debate between the two hosts she was testing with!
We’re not quite sure what called for this comment since the problem was clearly between Rosie and S.E.!
But that dig at Barbara was evident.
