John “hands off my song, McCain” Mellencamp and horror writer Stephen King are teaming up!
The pair will collaborate on a new musical together. And, we firmly believe the world would be a much better place with more musicals. So this is superexcellent news.
Mellencamp will provide the tunes for the musical version of King’s novel, Ghost Brothers of Darkland County.
Ghost Brothers is set to premiere April of 2009 in Atlanta.
Mellencamp reportedly told Rolling Stone that if the musical does well in the ATL they’ll take it to Broadway.
Ghosts can fly. We love big theatrics.
They need a big dance number too!
