Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott continue to get along really well together — and it sounds like things are working quite nicely between the pair!
The New Girl alum and the Property Brothers star most recently were spotted on Thursday afternoon stepping out for lunch together in Beverly Hills, where they were holding hands and apparently having quite the time. And to hear the updates from insiders close to the couple, it sounds like things sure are going really well right now!

According to an eyewitness who was at the restaurant — Clementine — the 39-year-old TV star and her new 41-year-old property beau appeared to be having quite the time while out for the casual lunch (below):
“They were really sweet together chatting over their meal and smiling at one another. They held hands and talked quietly when they left. She was looking up at him and smiling.”
Awwww!
And to hear another insider tell it, these two “like each other a lot,” as well, so things are clearly going in the right direction as they navigate this new relationship as summer turns to fall! So wonderful!
A Fresh Start!
As you’ll no doubt recall from our previous reporting, Zooey and her ex Jacob Pechenik recently released a joint statement about co-parenting their two children together despite splitting after four years of marriage (below):
“After much discussion and a long period of contemplation we have decided we are better off as friends, business partners and co-parents rather than life partners. We remain committed to our business, our values and most of all our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy at this time.”
Clearly, things are amicable and smooth between the two of them, which is certainly a good thing! Especially for the children!

They have a lot in common and it has surprised her that they have so many things to talk about. They are always laughing … It’s been nice [for her] to meet someone new to spend time with.”
So sweet!
Clearly, these lunch dates are working for something… keep it comin’, you two!
